The public are asked to report instances of pollution to the Environment Protection Unit. It would be a good idea to publish a phone number. Does anyone on here know what it is?

Does anyone know what the pollutants are that arise from newly ploughed fields, quarries & construction sites? Are they just sediment that happens to be above the levels considered normal, carried in run-off from heavy rain?

People throw rubbish in the rivers and glen. They have no respect for the island and its countryside. I wonder how much dog muck finds its way into the rivers too.

Which will all duly see an increase as Govt continues to pass on increased charges to the local authorities for waste disposal, courtesy of a now unaffordable contract with SITA/the Waste of Energy Plant.

And sheep droppings.

The banks of Sulby reservoir are covered in it.

License individual sheep at £20/annum and fine the farmers £1000 if any of their flock enter the watercourse.

TBT.

Just run up and down the river bank shouting 'Aqua Man! Acqua Man! Acqua Man!"

He'll turn up eventually.
