There are some very enlightening articles on the web about the design philosophy of this boat. Worth a google search whilst we are on lockdown.

We're still in lockdown? Could've fooled me!

My bad. For some reason I thought it was $40M.

I can't tell the difference between a $40M boat and a $400M boat tbh.

Anything that particularly caught your imagination?

Looks to me like a Philipe Starck reimagination of something the great explorers would have sailed around the world in the early days - much larger tho' obviously!

That Thiki page has been hammered quite a bit recently!   It was once called White Pearl which seems a better name than ‘A’.  Obviously ’Butt Ugly’ wasn’t allowed by the shipping register.

Visitors are supposed to isolate...but they may have been given permission to pick up supplies delivered to the pier? Dunno.

It would be for Laurence to drop off a barrowful of fridge magnets and Manx Inspirations calendars.

I saw her today, in the flesh.  Certainly futuristic, but not ugly and an interesting iridescence to the hull, perhaps the paint or the material used?  Anyway, I thought she was quite a sight in the bay.
