I don't think it's any worse, and in fact much milder, than one would read from a mainstream newspaper columnist. It makes a valid point and raises a question about who is best qualified to judge the interests of a child. I don't see how it is abusive about John's sexuality. It is a reasonable debating point that the mother knows better than two single men. Not a fashionable one I accept, but a perfectly respectable point of view, or at least it should be. Too much running to nurse nowadays.

It may be a valid point (to some) that the two people mentioned don't have kids, but I don't see how being gay makes any difference, a man without kids is just that, sexuality makes no difference, you either have kids or you don't and for that reason I think it ruins what otherwise may well have been a 'respectable' point of view.

I wish you'd be nice to John TSM, he's my friend!

I wasn't unpleasant to anyone, he's just distancing himself from some pathetically petty complaints about a fairly lighthearted comment I made.

Your comment was neither light hearted nor appropriate.

but in terms of single parentage a man cannot raise a child as well as a woman. Fact.

Such a ridiculous statement and can only come from somebody who doesn't have kids. Clearly you don't know any single men who have raised a child on their own or haven't seen a hopeless female trying to raise a child on their own. A man can raise a child equally as good as a woman and if a court has decided a man has sole custody of the child its normally for a very good reason.

Think you need to get off your mothers tit and into the real world.

Obvious troll is obvious.

You may want to take out your Internet Hero's Guide to the Online Galaxy and check on the term Troll - unless you already have, in which case: congratulations on buying a mirror.

Doesn't change the fact that your comment was inappropriate and showed you as the unpleasant individual you obviously are.

There's an awful lot of sexual tension between you two.

It's all one way I'm afraid, he just follows me all around the forums goading me for a response. I dunno how he got to be a moderator!

And Gladys (I've got spiders living by the bag I'm waiting for you to collect Gladys....the salad fork keeps talking to me)

Every time I go past your house I think 'I must pm Ms Bees to pick up that stuff.' How about the first day of term?

I apologise for appearing to go 'off topic', but my previous comment on this was really about how these (well known) posters are removing absolutely ANY credibility MF has in the eyes of those in a position, reading this forum, to implement change (our politicians).

It sometimes seems like (these posters) are employed (salaried) to do just that...make MF full of easily ignored DH's!!
