Isle of Man as testbed for driverless vehicles?

Recommended Posts

Hello? Is that the police? Yes, I'm in a driverless car and I'm going to be late for my hair appointment and it's just not flooring it. I always leave at the same time in my 4x4 so it could make it if it really tried. Could you clear all the roads and provide an escort so I can make my hair appointment? It's VERY important and my husband is VERY high profile in the finance industry.

Some real thinking outside the box, why not a Google TT - a race around the course with these cars during a break between the endless parade laps, Subaru laps and in between any racing -

Nice one.

We still need to know which department and which knacker/s initially dismissed Google cars on the Island.

Didn't happen. (IMO)

Even if something similar had occurred, why do feel you should be told?

Politicians making decisions on our behalf is sometimes bad enough, knuckle head civil servants is a fucking outrage.

You know, all this talk about being up there and innovative etc reminds me of Airship Enterprises.( or Jurby Airships)

In fact there are many similarities and that ended well for us, didn't it?

Airships are old hat,we're all spaceships these days. We're all off to the moon soon.

Looks like the IOM won't stand a chance of getting Google cars tested here. London now making overtures to Google - mind you, compared to London, what has the IOM really got offer? Third rate infrastructure, second class services and first class bureaucracy.

Why don't you fuck off then if everything is so bad?

Virtually every single post you make is negative. Mainly slagging the island and all involved with running it. Or doing something on it.

You genuinely sound depressed.
