If the cafe was there 55 years ago, when did it close?

Around millennium year, I think.

I seem to recall it whilst I was at university and had my first car.

It’s not the first. That’s more modern. I don’t think it’s the second, the one that had (has) Hillman Imps on the drive. The next one is the corner, still has a mural in the doorway. I thought it was the corner one.

The house is now called Kyalami I think. No 2 Ballagarey. Right on the bend like the Kyalami racetrack.

Let's be honest: Managing cake eating senior citizens is a bit different from running a bar full of drunken biker hooligans.

I've no issue with drink. But there are far too many places selling cake IMO. Something needs to be done. It's annoying not being able to get a table to for brunch at the w/e because the place the place is full of people sharing a slice of cake and a pot of tea.

Pubs are no longer pubs these days. Some don't sell crisps or nuts. The only food you can get is an exceptionally overpriced meal.

I don't go to bars/pubs much these days but I don't think I've seen a jar of pickled onions or eggs on in/on a bar for +20 odd years.

I thought the Imps "Californians" were at the corner house along with an orange TT?
