Skeletor
What's with all the wasted paper with colour schemes, other than to make it look like there's more in it than there really is? How many copies of this are going to be printed at a cost to the taxpayer? If I was going to write up an agenda for government, I'd keep it black and white text and no huge margins with lame colour patterns. Get a grip. Tarne
I can guarantee if it was written in black and white, you'd be on here telling them to spruce it up
Donald Trumps
Have we already exhausted discussion of Globetrotter's magnificent contribution to the Manx body politic?
woolley
Well it's not too much different from all the previous plans we've been discussing for years. When he actually tells us what he's going to do to achieve those aspirations there may be something more to get our teeth into. Lisenchuk
Which of the incumbents is going to push for change to "the best club in the world"? (Quote, Rodan). Another 1000 years of Tynwald, I'd say...? "Tynwald, the best club in the world" is attributed to Noel Cringle during a Manx Radio interview. Lisenchuk
We don't need to get rid of legco. We need to make sure it's popularly elected. Agree. It has an important role to play, just needs to be properly elected.

hboy
Indeed, the LegCo issue will be the test of the resolve of this House of Keys Well we all know the answer. The litmus test will be if some tosser like Gawne gets a leg up next time round having been consigned to the dustbin by the voting public.
gettafa
Whaddya mean. Gawne is a man of the people over on Facebook/Twitter, along with likes of Buster. Both have form of course but it seems the people love 'em, or that's the impression they appear to be giving themselves. It has an important role to play, just needs to be properly elected. We don't need to elect any more politicians. It's 80 odd thousand people on an Island for goodness sake. If you don't want LegCo elected by Keys as it is just get rid and go unicameral. If we popularly elect we get more of the same that we elect to Keys and if we know just one thing for certain, it's that we definitely have enough of that. No, no, no!

You mean the sad ginger invalid with zero credibility who spends his life bashing our shite on Facebook? As for Gawne well that will be my litmus test. There is a huge car crash on the way when the reserves start to dwindle. I'm prepared to give things a chance, but the current lot I have very little faith in. They are no different than the last lot but at least that lot had bragging rights to spending all those £100millions on one thing and another, and they made lots of civil servants financially happy in return for some ego-massaging. The time will come when Tynwald will be looking to be saved by the cavalry in the form of these wise old swets (*sniggers*) As in some bizarre sc-fi film where no matter how you try, the alien keeps coming back to life and rearing its ugly head, expect to see some of the blasts from the pasts making a return.
