Liverpool Airport DHSC Taxi Service

It's an actual joke that it's caused this much upset. You'd think they had just hired Jurgen Klopp in a clown car to give a lift from the airport!

That would be the worst of all the options.

With Klopp driving, you'd look like you were going forward, only to go backwards a bit and then realise that you've actually gone nowhere at all.

It's like Roger Mexico said on another thread. This is typical MF. It has been pointed out several times that this is NOT simply a taxi. It is a specialised service to move frail, sick, aged patients with varying physical problems. To care, to be empathetic, to know exactly what to do and where to go, to deal with the unexpected, etc. So everyone just keeps banging on about it being "just a taxi". Feckin eejits.

The new Taxi Firm have only got small cars

so you can't get much shopping in the boot

liverpool1 will suffer.....

The pick ups are timed to get you from the hospital to your flight. If you are well enough to go shopping or have the time, you must find your own way back to the airport. This would only happen if you had, say a 9am appointment and the flight was 5.25pm, giving you a lot of time to kill.

Relax. They have driving contracts with other major hospitals. It's Birkenhead not Burke and Hare.

It is just a taxi. That's all it is.

Do you think that the staff on the planes are more than just pilots and cabin crew?

Yes. I as I said earlier in the thread, I am partially reassured that they haven't just appointed a bog standard taxi firm like they did the last time they tried this, but the proof of the pudding remains the eating. They have no other contracts where they have to accommodate the vagaries of connecting with air travel as far as I am aware. We shall see what happens and hope for the best.
