Ramsey Courthouse For Sale

Recommended Posts

Anyhow, I heard that Raj Chatta may be interested, in which case bye bye RTC and hello Oddbins.

I can't see Ramsey people going there when they can shop at 'Alcoholic Products'

This, the post office, the pier, the marina.

Ramsey is full of people who like to moan about things but not so many who like to actually DO things. There is money all over the town: why don't the RTC promise to cover the running costs on the rates, but let the purchase be funded by a town whip-round. That way, the 'people of Ramsey' will be able to demonstrate how much they actually like and want and need these things.

Then, after that issue has been put to bed and the funding stalls at around £50k from the usual individuals who show up and deliver time and again, the government can get on with selling it to someone privately.

People need to put up or shut up. The glory days are over and these 'nice to have' things are no longer top of the list, especially when there is a brain drain and an exodus of young families who can't afford to live here anymore.

Or it might mean a northern Hooded Ram pub.

I'm not sure a pub with clean toilets and NOT selling Carling by the can would go down too well in Ramsey

Shame, its those niche shops that make Ramsey so special.

Ramsey really needs to reinvent itself...not hang on to a rusty old iron pier and a boat lake you can't even drown in even if the water's up to your knees.

Ramsey...Stop hanging out in the 50s...get real.

Do something IMAGINATIVE!

I think it should go the whole hog and remodel itself on Douglas.

Question in Tynwald.

Hah hah, seems like Malarkey's microphone has been adjusted. He sounds like a little boy speaking over a transistor radio.

Apparently, all this hoo-haa was only about the War Memorial and teh rights of way.

The Chief Minister and Malarkey have spoken about their feelings on the War Memorial, The Speaker too, and are coming out of all this smelling of roses.

It's ok, the War Memorial and the rights of way are staying. (erm, as if, they could be just moved anyway).

Nothing to see here. Move on folks.

This is the right way to get rid of old useless buildings in Ramsey!

Tear them down when nobody is looking!

It's a shame they didn't do the courthouse while they were at it!
