Douglas Prom
Probably a good job they demolished it when they did. Today some clown would try and get it registered.
madmanx90
It definitely wasn't a pretty building at all. I seem to remember going to watch some wrestling in there once anyone remember that?

Probably Phil Kermode nuzzling a fat mans anus in a leotard. I can never get an airport taxi off him to this day.

Tarne
Ah. Mine was much later than yours, though LC is in finance now... No idea how high up!
Zammo Maguire
5 Summerland things 1. The octagonal pool table 2. Massive New Years Eve parties on the Piazza Level 3. The whole clothes basket/conveyor thing in the aquadrome 4. The Cave (and the cave thread on here) 5. The inflatable water slide in the aquadrome.

dilligaf
Ah. Mine was much later than yours, though LC is in finance now... No idea how high up! About 3 foot ? There will more than a few knowing glances in the workplace tomorrow morning I reckon. Edited March 26, 2017 by dilligaf

Roller skating was my thing, down in the basement, but everything was there. The idea was brilliant and as it says in the video, way ahead of its time. Perhas an even bigger complex could be built using that whole area and incorporate a ski slope even. It seems from the video that there were plans for a similar place that included a TT museum. It's crazy that the Isle of Man does not have the biggest best motorcycle museum in the world.

IOMRS97
I think I may have got it wrong. The first time I went into Summerland was during the fire when everyone else was trying to get out...

As for a bike museum, why would we have one ? Pie in the sky fella.
