And with corpy councillors getting in on around a 15% turnout...100 people with a point can overturn that very, very, very...very easily. Albert, unless you are going to do a "Buster" with the votes then I very much doubt the rest of Douglas will care a jot who runs the beer tent...
TheTeapot
Bushys got the Villa then. Done properly it could be superb.

Appalling use of the lovely Villa gardens. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when this "deal" was done. Crazy
guzzi
That should work well for them. Closer to most hotel and guest house accommodation along the Prom, so lots of folks would have to walk past the Villa to get to the Hooded Ram's tent on the old site, and they might not bother. I agree about the grass, though.
WTF
i can see a smaller tent to make it look busy will be required at the bottleneck. hooded ram can't be to happy that the competition is only a few hundred yards up the prom. the stinking enigma
Once it gets established hooded ram may "outbid" them for the villa site too

Neil Down
would have been better had they put Bushy's on the prom by the war memorial. Get rid of the pikey village that sets up camp there each year

It's good that they have somewhere but just don't think an awful lot of thought went into where they are going. Can you imagine the state of the gardens after a fortnight of "beer tent" invasion... WTF
it wont help the take in the villa itself either but if cutting your nose off etc etc is what it takes to get the corpy back for ditching the horse trams onto govt so be it. Torry loon
the Villa is where it's gonna be at. Hey, we might even get Quill back in the Promenade Suite.
