Why Manx Forums Is Dying

Recommended Posts

Manx Forums is dying because of lazy and misdirected moderators.

Whilst there are legal ramifications of what people might or might not say, there are still basic T&Cs of this site that are now being conistently ignored by moderators time after time, often based on some pretence of legal responsibiliities, which requires only John Wrights input and no other moderator input.

What are the other moderators there for?

Can we please get back to basics and get rid of the very many accounts that are designed to take these forums down. Those that ruin and Astroturf so many threads.

Those that post outside of the T&Cs.

Come on moderators...get back to basics and clear the crap out of this forum...instead of just politely responding to them.

You are allowing MF as it was to die.

Wake up! It's dying on your "lets leave it to John", watch. Lets get back to basics and clear the crap.

MF is not dying, sometimes it might seem like people are trying to ruin it but put them on ignore Albert. Do not let them ruin your fun. It really is a very strange & insecure thing to do (troll a forum).

No. I have 8 on ignore. Most of them have at anytime I log in have just done the last 20 posts.

Moderators have done nothing except refer to John Wright for months.

Moderators might as well not exist at the moment, their role, pointless at their own admittance.

Yes there are legal ramifications on posts...but what about the basic T&Cs?

I think you would be on firmer ground Albert, if earlier today, you hadn't blundered into the UK Election thread, which was a polite discussion without bickering and posted ...

Followed by "Fuck off you nobers concerned  with the UK."

I don't especially like the bickering of Jack and Notwell or the -Tard this and -tard that of our more right wing posters but it's not substantially different from when you and your group dominated the forum with incessant negativity.

I wasn't bickering...this forum needs to get rid of the invasion of crap that has happened over the last 6 months, which moderators have done nothing about, and idiots like you continue to pointlessly debate with.

(1) Is it dying? Do the user figures confirm that?

(2) If the people who own the site want it to be this way why would they change it?

You're moaning about people not following the T&Cs, and then in the next post refer to Declan as an idiot because he posted something you don't agree with.  Pot, Kettle, Black?

If you don't like it there are other chat forums available.  I also find some of the pointless bickering tiresome, but don't let it bother me.  Try to do the same.

One of the most painfull aspects of intelligence... is seeing and understanding the consequences of actions, long before those arguing, often in good faith and against you, even sees them on the horizon.

Ahh - "the deceptive practice of presenting an orchestrated marketing or public relations campaign in the guise of unsolicited comments from members of the public."
