Hardly ground-breaking ffs....still a ban on recreational use with THC, which is a breach of human rights, if an adult wants to grow their own marihuana and ingest it then it shouldn't be prohibited.

It's not but it shows a willingness to discuss the subject by politicians. Ours aren't interested.

According to the drunken fancy dresser at the last hustings, legalising blow would have our masters at Westminster up in arms and is a no go. So remind me how guernsey can navigate it. Me thinks Field Marshall Watterson is out of his depth on this.

Good point...maybe one day all the dinosaurs will be extinct and a younger lot get in and see common sense. This island is too conservative and means far too much with Christian religious dogma.

It's been possible for a good while to be able to purchase high-concentration CBD vape oil in the Offshore Vape shop, Castle Street. Available in a 50% concentration right up to 600%. In various flavours: 'Mango Kush' 'Lemon Haze' are two and both flavours come through very distinctly, more so to those pot-heads who've sampled the actual bona-fide leaf. The label of the 300% and 600% (£37and £72) bottles indicates that the product "may induce drowsiness." Which, when vaped neat it does, kind of, but I wouldn't describe the effect as "drowsiness" more a certain, 'mellowing.'

Having suffered from 'Cluster' headaches (darkly described in some quarters by some as a 'suicide headache'-- think brain-freeze intensity from too much ice-cream, only lasting up to 2 or 3 days) for as long as I can remember, illegal cannabis, with an average THC content, has been manna from heaven in terms of relief. It has the same effect on the pain induced by the osteoarthritis of my 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th vertebrae. Although not quite as efficacious (because it really does need a balance of THC in there, let's be honest), the CBD vape has a very near effect on the aggravating symptoms. The alternative offering of NSAIDs, Tramadol or other opiates proved useless, just adding to the low mood and listlessness brought on by the dreaded, incessant ache.

The only obvious downside of the CBD vape and other CBD products is its expense but burgeoning competition in the market should bring about a more sensible price.

It also got me thinking whether or not the high CBD content in the vape would produce a false-positive result in a road-side swab test. Does the test differentiate between the CBD and THC? Who knows..?

You should try watching VR Porn, actually proven to work for pain relief.

If Cannabis is such an effective pain reliever as many claim, is it not possible to isolate the active agreement and then produce the form of a medicine or a pill so that you get the pain relief without any of the other effects.

I believe that it was fairly late that the chemists identified the active ingredient of cannabis; it was explained to me by a neuro-medical doctor friend that the inability of early chemists type boffins to ID why cannabis has the effects it did led to it being shelved as a medicine whereas heroin and cocaine have been available to medics all along as they were easier to work out.

I’m also told that taking cannabis orally is nothing like as effective as smoking it from a medical point of view and you’ll struggle to find a doctor who’ll recommend smoking anything.

It really is shameful that people who suffer are denied something that can ease pa N and symptoms. IOMG really should look at the way the world is turning and get this sorted out.

And another country, South Africa,  legalising the personal use and growing of cannabis. First country in Africa. The movement is real. And unfortunately our out of touch mhk are missing the boat on this.

Laboratories were not allowed to access RAW cannabis in the USA to do any real studies or work on, it was illegal to do so.  Read up on Harry Anslinger.
