And in relation to this thread, 3262 is even less significant.

We had the option to boot the politicians out re Toilet Tax. Those that spoke up most loudly for it - the sacrificial lambs -  Quayle, Cregeen and Quirk walked back in. (Well, Quirkie didn't but he carried quite a few shitty sticks for his then new mates, the big boys.)

Well, Dr Allinson has introduced the latest round of tariff/tax adjustments (aka rises) during his tenure as chair.....

Would it have really made any difference how many people signed it ? No. There's no democratic feedback loop in our Executive that responds to public opposition and which could trigger a change in policy. The people that make the policy are unelected civil servants and they're not going to respond to petitions. They don't have to.
