Lost an engine and turned back today and passengers have been put up in hotels,Anyone else heard anything,or has everyone left the site? Could have shut down the engine due to a warning light or many other things. Losing an engine doesn't mean the engine has fallen off (well, usually) But either way, the Manchester is tech tonight and cancelled. ellanvannin2010 Posted August 18, 2017 Share Posted August 18, 2017 (edited) I hope the passengers got a better hotel provided than I did when the same aircraft broke down in Manchester on Tuesday evening, stuck out in a shabby hotel near Warrington. The ground handling agents, Menzies, were abysmal in both attitude and abilty to organise anything.
