manxman1980
It looks like the new Labour leader is worrying some Tory MP's, including a Minister, enough for them to share fake news on twitter. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/tory-mps-delete-tweets-sharing-22026488 Watching PMQ's with Starmer against Johnson is a real clash of styles. Johnson looks very exposed without his backbenchers jeering the opposition.
Manxberry
I'm pretty sure after the lockdown in the UK that the Conservatives have fucked themselves in elections for the next twenty years as the voter base will remember it was Tories that locked them away. Should have stuck to their guns and done a Sweden.

I don't think the UK could have done a Sweden even if they wanted to, massively different population densities.
prism10
It has been clear for some time that Sweden made the wrong decision. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-52903717

TheTeapot
Well all you Stu supporters should be complaining about this one too then, seeing as she hasn't actually said anything racist.
Chinahand
Yeah, but endorsing the idea that police violence is due to Israeli training does fit nicely into blaming a certain demographic ... and come on US police violence doesn't suddenly appear with the founding of the state of Israel, it is an excuse looking for a bias to connect Israel with anything bad in the world. TheTeapot
She retweeted an interview by her friend given to a national newspaper. Here's the DREADFUL AND SHOCKING interview full of hate https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/features/maxine-peake-interview-labour-corbyn-keir-starmer-black-lives-matter-a9583206.html and here's an article that says that Israeli security services do train US police, although its obviously stupid to suggest that they teach them to murder black men by kneeling on their neck for almost 10 minutes https://theintercept.com/2017/09/15/police-israel-cops-training-adl-human-rights-abuses-dc-washington/ and here is another one https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/joint-us-israel-police-and-law-enforcement-training Obviously with all that has gone on with the Labour anti-semitism nonsense over the last few years you'd kind of expect people to be pretty careful I fail to see how it is a sacking offence. Probably pretty good PR for Starmer to look like he's getting tough on stamping it out mind. Or a good time to get it into the news to distract from rampant corruption on the other side too. Shake me up Judy
Maxine Peake is well known to be a card carrying hard leftie, with a right northern gob on her. Always has been. She's like a lot of luvvies who spout off on politics. They haven't grown out of the student politics that they took with them to RADA. They should stick to the stage.

Did she endorse that though? Besides, Anti-Zionism is not Anti-Semitism.

And it's definitely often a vehicle for it. Anti- Zionism is about rejecting the right of Israel to exist. Even within the post WW2 UN borders. That's neither reasonable nor a recipe for peace.

That goes for performers from across the political spectrum.
