Skelly likely costing us more money. How many fuckups is his dept allowed before he finally gets drummed out?

IF....rumour is to be believed, a developer is about to try and sue the arse off IoMG after IoMG allegedly welshed on an agreement to sell the Lord St site to them....in favour of another developer, "a bit closer to Govt".

But it's ok. The taxpayer will be paying the Govt's lawyers and anything that's awarded.

Strange they are continuing with the planning application at what must a be great cost. Also strange how those who were staning up and saying what a wonderful development for Douglas have been quiet ever since. Then again now we can see why !

Isn’t the legal action being taken by the original preferred bidder couple years back and not the current developer...?

That would make sense . May have drawn the wrong conclusion on that one. Still yet another screw up to contend with by the looks of it

Seriously, it does seem to be a case of the Govt not reading the procurement notes thoroughly or deliberately backing away from their original  verbal promisesbecause they realised it was overly generous in favour of the developer?

Govt depts proceeding without the benefit of legal advice? Who'd have thought?
