Shut your face TJ. Get some sort of hobby you inadequate little man.

I hate to break it to you as I know some of you have a bizarre obsession with TJ, but I'm not him/her.

Exactly what TJ would say if he was claiming not to be TJ!

It's also exactly what someone who isn't TJ would say if some obsessed mentalists kept calling them TJ.

Someone else used to use “mentalist”. Can’t remember who, though. IIRC it was TJ, llap, Jack Carter, Pierrot Lunaire and TSM. Some very different posters, but some interesting multiple personas.

One explanation for the popular use of the word is that there are in fact a bunch of mentalists here.

I always thought the use of the word mentalist was a nod to alan partridge. I see no harm in it.

Mentalist is used just about everywhere on here and has been for years.

Exactly! Whenever I say "mentalist" I am literally thinking it in an Alan Partidge voice.

It is interesting to see who used it often prior to this thread though.

No, it's really not that interesting. It's a very common phrase used by people all over the English-speaking world. I suggest you get out more and find some perspective.

Unlike a good wine TJ you haven’t aged well.
