That makes sense then . No way could a funfair make enough money to cover a 50-60 k rent over 10 days after staff costs/travel etc.

i reckon they take £50k a day......

Bollocks do they, if they did they'd buy some soap and looking at the dirty wretches today it certainly seems they haven't unless the look of chimneysweeps is the current fashion.

what like chester street.......

Lost me woody.

DOI own the walkway (or at least they say they do on the planning application). The suggestion was that DOI were renting it from the corpy. Clearly that can't be right if they own it in the first place.

DOI also own Chester Street and have rented it to the corpy.

I don't see the correlation.

So you reckon a thousand people spend £50 .....or 500 spend £100.....or .....no I do not think so logistically the rides last about 5 minutes and then another 5 mins to get on and off and get going again.....does not add up.

All cash gets trousered though, good for them not so much for HMRC!

You can't send a kid to the fair with less than 30 quid to then leave yourself enough time to  nip off for a couple of pints nowadays. It's an absolute outrage that's what it is.

a waltzer on a £2.50 will take £15k over 12 hours riding nearly full (i'm not saying they take that at the tt)

now add up the amount of adult rides, children rides, side stalls and games plus catering ....

won't be far wrong at £50k a day at a small fair like the tt......

don't forget the flipping of price ticket when it gets busy = more £££££.....

There is a call on Facebook to ban the fair....allegedly a worker would not let a young girl take her bag on a ride and offered to hold it, when she got it back it was minus her phone.    Now this is getting shared on Facebook, may not be right but if you have youngsters going to the fair warn them, it could have been a pick pocket in the crowd, she could have lost it.....just take care when there are crowds.
