Trouble at Okells

Agreed (for once!). Terrible chemical liquid.

The best lager I’m finding on draught is Heineken or any Asian lager. These are consistent across the boozers. Peroni is very hit and miss.

Anyway, winter on the way back on the bitter or Guinness.

Off topic, but the best lager I've had in years was an Asian one in Tai Tai. I wish I could remember it's name.:(

You surely never went back...???!!!

No I never did, although I did ask for a reference (tip, always ask for a reference before you actually leave a job). I feel I left with some dignity.  Which considering this thread, is the point.

or £1 a pint for the shop......

Carling £1.00 for a pint tin at Agrimark , that is my local now. I will not enter a pub and pay £4.05 for a pint and I was a 4 night a week drinker up unto recently. I wish I had made the decision 20 years ago!

Think they’re 500ml instead of a pint.

just highlight the problems for pubs......

back in the day pubs used to be cheaper than the shops....

A recent survey revealed that only 1 in 12, ( or somewhere near that )  16 / 18 year olds drink alcohol, the rest go to the pub to listen to the music, and make a can of pepsi last an hour, so even a pub that is full, is not going to make a lot of money, and there must be numerous overheads.

Penning a whiny-gram isn't my idea of leaving with dignity...!
