Check out P4 of this week's Manx Independent....Consultant quits letting loose a broadside in the process.

"This is without doubt the most dictatorial, confrontational and intransigent management structure that I have ever had the misfortune to work with".

The only people who will lose out is us. He’ll just move back to the UK and make the same fuck loads of money by being a good consultant with whatever body he ends up working for. Typical brain-dead public sector Manx crabs at work envious of other peoples’ pay packets. That’s all.

The quoted consultant is described in the paper as a  cardiologist, but name withheld. There are but  two listed on the website of DH .

He certainly is not the first  in the last few years -and unfortunately  probably not the last,  to move on.

At the end of the article there is  also brief reference to Dr Emran Khan, our diabetes  specialist ,being on “gardening leave”...

There is clearly  serious “Trouble at t’mill”.

We were told gleefully by Quayle that he’d stripped the place out after Anderson, so is this the dictatorial, confrontational and intransigent management structure created by Quayle in his time, Charters in his, Beecroft In hers, Couch in his, or Ashford in his?

I don’t think there’s anything Manx about the management of DHSS/Noble’s hospital.

Taking all things in to account you're screwed at every turn. I'm just going to sit back and watch the inevitable train smash.  Good luck - you're going to need it.

Cheers rog. Hope you die just before it crashes.

What an unimaginative response.

Why not cheer yourself up by inventing a scenario?

Think Rog is on a flight to the US to attend a KKK rally. The plane gets into difficulties over the Irish Sea and crash lands at Reynoldsway due to a defective radar system. The injured are rushed to Nobles and are saved! Except for Rog who dies whimpering on a gurney parked in an out of the way corridor by two western oriental gentlemen who heard him shout "Death to Islam!" when he was being wheeled in.

There, much more fitting :)

Could it be - as an alternative view - that the DHSC has finally actually started to manage the hospital?  Hardly surprising that the group that will kick off is the consultants.
