Private medical care terminated at Noble's!

The bottom line here is Nobles has lost another 15 beds ( whether it wants to use them or not, private argument aside) on top of other closures !

Losing beds saves money without doubt, but doesn't help those needing them !

The taxpayers were sold a formula one car hospital by politicians which tuns out to be a touring car championship hospital !

I would much rather this incompetent administration stop dreaming of huge expensive facilities to attract a larger population ( I refer to ports and all manner of other daydreaming schemes) and divert funds to look after the population it already has ! I thought the Bell and Teare administration were perhaps the worst in living memory but this current shower have set a new low !

Maybe this current shower have read Bell's book - "How to ruin an Island"

How does loosing beds save money, if they are keeping on the same staff ?

Does your government want to attract competent medical staff and keep them?

Very uncertain pensions, now no room for private medicine and all the benefits that brings to medical staff and patients alike?

Crazy.

You aren’t listening are you?

Not like you to jump in feet first. ;-)

Maybe you should try to help your own people out before involving yourself in our issues .

Buster seems to be in a flap over this. Obviously he's normally in a bit of a flap but this time he might flap himself to death.

Am betting in the not to distance future an outside firm or agency (uk) will takeover this piece of our hospital to run it privately.

Very possibly, but it probably won’t   be called  that.

The current   favourite NHS   buzz word across,I understand    is  “Commissioning”

Don’t know if this has been touched on in this thread but I heard today a number of surgeons have been simply sifting the system for suitable patients and calling them in to advise private is the way to go for them. Is this normal practice ?
