No he was a fable made up to make the world unstable.

Maybe. I am just saying that Muslims do believe Jesus existed.

But the poster Quilp earlier said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan "recently questioned the existence of Jesus, saying that while the existence of Mohamed is well-documented the same cannot be said for Jesus." The poster Quilp further said that a "baying mob of hard-line Islamists were delighted, of course."

Given that all hard-line Islamists believe Jesus did exist, I find the entire story highly suspect.

Next time the subject comes up just mention the Isle of Bute as an example, they will not like that truth is not welcome in grandstanding land.

Now Alistair Ramsay is praising this woman in the Examiner, of course it was Richard Butts father Dudley who did all the canvassing for her.    Talk about Wheels within Wheels and sponsored promotion between Manx Radio and the local rags she thinks she has all angles covered.    What a pity no one under 65 listens to MR and the local rags do not really have a great readership either.

Regardless of wheels within wheels, Ramsay’s critique of our shoddy government is bang on. As is his analysis of this Island’s failure to produce politicians with a national outlook and his demolition of the nonsensical Programme for Government.

With the US now looking to pull out of Syria and the Arab League now making overtures to welcome Syria back into the fold and establish itself again as a stable regional player where does that leave our friend Daftne and her charity pals looking to rehome Syrians? I imagine most Syrians would love nothing more than to re-establish their life in their home country again and help it stabilise itself once more. Is this the last we hear of her noble quest now?

Stabilise? Sadat will seek to massacre the Kurds in north-east Syria, if you call that stabilisation

It can only be assumed that Putin has given Trump instructions to withdraw US (& therefore UK) from the area

Pentagon will be dismayed

No. He retired.

Must have been fairly recent.

I'm sure lots of ex gov workers have a thing or two to say, but that was rather public.

About a year ago. Went the same time as Carol Hunter. Another well known local journalist took the position. Alastair then ran for LegCo.

Careful now, Lxxx, you'll have RIchard Britten et al on attempting to rubbish your source and therefore you. Matters not if there's any sense in it...
