Manx Radio (paid for by the taxpayer), IOM Newspapers an even IOM Government (paid for by the taxpayer) have websites where this information could be viewed on their respective landing pages. Why

Did you design the logo?

myprom.im? Should have gone for... overdesignedoverpricedoverbudgetoverdue.im

You lot would only whine and bitch if there wasn't a website and communication of what's going on, the DoI are damned if they do and damned if they dont!

I wonder what many of you on here would do if there wasn't Manx Forums to vent your spleens.....probably continue to dribble whilst recieving your electric shock treatment I'd imagine.

I'd just look on the Roadwatch page to see if the road was closed and traffic diverted. That is all that needs communicating. The history we already know and the future we'll judge when it's finished.

They have a website.

gov.im

Maybe they should focus on making that more usable instead of creating "microsites".

FFS what a waste of money.

Just shows the DOI know they’re so shit that they have to employ a communications officer to convince the people that they aren’t shit when they deliver a project which is likely to be the usual half cocked waste of taxpayers cash.

Deleting cookies so that it would give me the desktop rather than mobile version on my ahem, desktop, certainly helped.

Or just use the link at the bottom of the page - 'Switch to Desktop' when in mobile mode, or 'Switch to mobile' when in desktop mode

I'm a bit confused as to what sort of different "stakeholder groups" are there?

There are four stakeholder groups:

  • Gov't types who want to claim political credit for making the prom / "Gateway to the Island" look pretty
  • Construction workers who want to make a packet from the redevelopment
  • The taxpayers who are paying for it
  • Users of the prom who will be inconvenienced for quite a while

Hope that clarifies.
