Mental Health - Isle of Man Health and Social Care

Recommended Posts

Mental health hasn't been dealt with properly here for many decades. There have been numerous reports on numerous incidents and not much has really changed. There are significant issues that need addressing.

People don't really get to understand that, because as already stated above, most people never come into contact with the service or generally don't work with the service.

It's only in the last year or so any support has been given to the police here. Previously they have had to act as the front line on mental health issues that spill into society.

Worth noting that UK NHS has opened up direct access to mental wellbeing services, ie. without GP referral

It would appear that the whistleblower is not without their own 'issues'.

Another week and another load of bullshit, this time competing with other. The Governments Mouthpiece says all in the garden is rosy - move along nothing to see and nothing to fear - meanwhile an external review is ordered into Manannan Court.

compare and contrast with

In all fairness something is not RIGHT. This will go on and on, along with taxpayers money!

Manx Radio is reporting what the Minister said. He was questioned by the interviewer.

"...allegations proved to be unfounded..."
