All the stuff is there. The satellite and flown aerial mapping is a available to Govt in very good resolution.

Not good enough to differentiate between a hedge and a shadow in our experience.

There is LIDAR mapping data too. Some of the 3D stuff on Google Maps is really good. I believe the IOMG are a bit precious about our stuff though, which is why they only release low res stuff?

You are lucky that you have a flat roof. Every time I try it, I roll off into the garden.

So who is getting the drone contract?

I reckon Stu Peters will be doing the flybys in his Learjet, now he has his lunchtimes free.

You watch. With aerial surveys I bet a Greece-style swimming pool tax is on the stocks. Or hot tubs too.

Jewsons will make a killing on sheets of plywood and artificial grass

It's all very well poking fun at the ideas but Chis T has already decided that the consultation supports HIS idea. Done deal???

Well, that's what he says he thinks

The largest group responding to the survey seemed to want local rates raised locally

he's said a few things to poke the bear so they've moved him to evenings when even less people listen.

I don’t actually think so. SP is an asset to any radio station and if he can pull off a good late night prog, then he is worth every penny.

Not sure I like the changes as I love Talking Heads with Stu.  He has great integrity so won’t be taking a back seat here as some have indicated, but will be doing what he feels is right. He is no fool.

If he is taking a shift in his spot, it is because he wants it.

Howard Q???

Actually, there would be nothing wrong with agricultural land being rated lower than normal...... As long as the land is being use to produce a commestable product for local use or export.

But then, if an industrial plot is used to make an exportable product, should that also be treated favourably?
