Precisely...but is it progress? Bikes that can't be used on a damp short circuit, let alone wet public roads...does it have any relevance to the market they purport to be advertising to?

But surley, proving on the mountain cicuit that thier bikes can be ridden in the rain, would be a marketing tool, and sells bikes ?

Must be very disappointing for all the people who have paid a lot of money to come here.  If poor visibility on the mountain section is the main reason for cancelling sessions, I wonder if it would be possible to hold a "limited TT" eg. racing from the Grandstand round to Ramsey, then riders returning to the Grandstand at "normal" speeds via the Laxey coast road.  Might be better than cancelling the thing altogether.

Or what about ( when the weather is against us ) running it around the Clypse Course instead ) ?

Why don`t they bring back morning practices?, it would have solved the problem we have at the minute, with not enough practice sesions.

Wasn’t one of the reasons for stopping them was the difference in air density or something meaning it was harder to sort out tuning

or was that just two strokes

Or even better, when they reach Ramsey they could turn around and go back to the grandstand the way they came!

Thompson just canceled any practice/racing for the rest of the day. If his previous rotten form holds true, then we should be in for a dry and sunny evening and even more valuable time will have been thrown down the toilet.

This is fast turning into the most weather messed up TT in living memory.

What a contrast to last year!

1981, was much worse , it rained night and day for the whole fortnight, except for a couple of hours on the second wednesday, but the bikes went out on treaded tyres, not something i agree with, i remember it clearly.as ive still got 70 odd pictures of that TT,this weeks practice has been poor, and the wind on tuesday evening, was even causing problems in low lying areas too, never heard if that was behind Ian Hutchinsons off at the 11th milestone?

I'm not sure what you want to happen.

Do you want racing to continue without helicopter support ?

Agree, far better to run the practices with no support and let’s see what happens...:whatever:

Every rider that gets back on their feet after a fall here is "lucky"

The final decision might be his, but is made after consultation with others - met office, emergency services inc helicopter, marshals, and riders
