TT 2019 - Megathread

Recommended Posts

All of which is why I stopped “celebrating” the TT a number of years ago. Overpriced beer and food, underwhelming service.

They scrapped the music night in Ramsey last night on H+S grounds of the overtopping warning. Despite only Laxey, Douglas and South being warned in the warning itself.

Will it go ahead tonight, given there's an evening race they can't exactly send all through traffic down Christian street!

Beer prices are fine, food prices in the village are a shame.  Drink there and eat elsewhere.

Can't complain at £3 for Bushys, be a bit miffed at paying £4 for a can and a tiny bit of Bud Light though. I had a balti pie from one of the stalls, £3.50 which is pretty expensive for a small pie but it was very good.

Most prices behind the grandstand seemed within reasonable levels as well, but this one stood out. Nine quid for a gyros wrap is mental. When I lived in Athens, you'd pay 2 euros for one, even in the touristy places. How can you find out what they pay in rent for the stand? Maybe that's what's driving prices up like this?

Anyone know why the red flag came out, any news ?    Hope it was nothing serious we have been doing ok so far.

£3 per pint of Bushy's and £4 for a warm can of bud light on Saturday...

£5 for one of Billy's beefburgers and a slice of cheese is a bit much

You can't knock the Bushy's beer prices though, and on the opening night it was definitely a particularly good brew.

That photo says it all about the modern 'corporate' T.T. The luvvies will have a frisson and swoon at the prices. Still, the Greeks need a helping hand.

It isn't sad at all. Its his own stupid fault. 100% avoidable.

We are constantly told 'he died doing what he loved' or similar bullshit platitudes. You can shove it all up your fucking exhausts
