Hit a pot hole. Sheared the bolt holding the left front bogie wheel.

Need someone to extract the threaded sheared bolt and mill/lathe a new one.

Chair comes from Malaysia, so spares not readily available.

Im away again 12/6.

Anyone any ideas, somewhere open over TT

Phone around a few local garages? Probably small ones.  Bolt removal isn't (usually) too big a deal nor "fabricating something to suite" as a replacement.

Ross should definitely be able to remove a broken bolt.

I can also highly recommend Steve Moynihan down in Balthane, who would also be able to remove the bolt. He is more of a design / fabrication engineer if you need anything producing for the repair. He’s fab’s some brilliant work for me in the past, and is a real gent to deal with (though he may be involved with racing at the moment).

Update. Both suggestions not able to do during TT.

Steam Packet Engineering removed sheared bolt this morning.

Its a non standard 12 Fine with a 2 cm sleeve at top.

Malaysian manufacturer have been great and are sending two complete new front wheel bogies, with bolts, ball races, washers, spacers, and two extra spare bolts, by DHL for $30 plus p+p should be here Friday or Monday.
