For a new build, right on a main road, with a lovely view of a petrol station, industrial estate and an airport.. 850,000.00 .. oh, and hardly any garden.

Just one question.. what planet it is one?

It probably won't be sold for the asking price but as an asset on a ballance sheet it would be useful to raise money for the next "development".

Some quite nice looking houses being built on the Grand Island site in Ramsey. Not cheap. Occupiers of those nearest the road would preferably enjoy the incessant racket of dogs barking coming from the adjacent boarding kennels.

They look close together and small gardens, not sure I would want to pay that much or live so close to each other for that price. Thought they were supposed to be exclusive?

I think that most new developments suffer from being too intensive, even those supposed to be "exclusive". More profit per acre.

But who's buying them ? In Ramsey alone there's well over a hundred new homes gone up in the last couple of years, including the one Woolley mentions and Royal Park (?) just a hundred yards away. Who are all these buyers and where are they coming from ?

Buy to rent, I'm told. Consortiums in some cases. As advised by a Dandara brickie. The 50 in the field in Peel behind Faulkners have all been sold on that basis, some aren't built yet.

Lack of return on money in the bank?
