Well I am TJ Neil?

No you are not.

I just hope you are not who I think you are.

I would be more than a little displeased

Cheers Roger. Met him a few times and yes, was a character.

I thought he had passed away some years ago, but maybe I misunderstood a recent post hinting otherwise. Ta.

A nice tribute to a lovely mad,  and I particularly liked this line

He was a great supporter of democracy in church institutions, as long as he could fix the result of the elections.”

If you conducted some real research into the two authentic Abreahamic religions then you might not be so flippant.

It's all bollocks rog. You said so yourself. Yet you still quote when it suits?

Of course it's all bollocks but when people start to rant bollocks at least they could get the bollocks right!

And if you'd somehow managed to miss an episode or two of Coronation Street then you only needed to go to Evensong to get up to date. Somehow or other he always managed to fit a bit of "real life" Corrie into his sermons (even if there wasn't an obvious link at the time!). I'm convinced he was a script writer for Corrie!

You always knew where he'd been in the Village by his cheroot litter on the floor by benches etc.

For me, he epitomised almost everything that a parish priest should be. A man with a genuine interest in humanity; knew the importance of pastoral care and how the divine fitted (or not, as the case may be) in peoples' lives.

And if you were to browse amongst the 39 original typescripts of my work held by the British Library and copies held by the other legal deposit libraries you will see that I have created several books on the esoteric aspects of Judaism and its offshoot Christianity...Enter my name in the main catalogue and keep going to the end as there is other material there as well..I started researching in Nursery Avenue, Onchan and have not stopped since...And I have followed the works of the later Geza Vermes
