Dodgy area. If there's info, then give it to the Police as mentioned earlier.

It was in the news recently where a couple of youths attacked a Pediatric surgeon believing he was a paedophile.

Get it wrong and action is taken that is witnessed or evidenced in some way and they're jail bound. Leave it to the Police

Completely agree manxy, 100%

I do love a Dilli character reference.. always makes me smile.

Tim Betteridge is one of the madder characters on Vader’s site.

He's had quite a few positive responses, worrying really.

it will be like the gays that went around bashing other gays back in the day so that non gays didn't suspect them of being gay too.  a sort of smoke and mirrors self preservation  plan.

Makes me laugh (sadly) that the exact sort of people who want to become online padeo-hunters say "the police do nothing except paper work and padeos go free!!!" are also the exact same reason that the police have to do so much paper work.

Policing is hard and gathering enough evidence to get a conviction takes time, effort and skill.  Rocking up to someone you have catfished with a phone camera shouting "burn the paedo" is not even remotely close.

Indeed. This mob of halfwits will be unable to catch anyone who doesn't have a record. They'll end up being vigilantes pushing dogshit through letterboxes etc of anyone released from prison.

From that C4 documentary from a while back it seems the general way these people work is by spending loads of time on the internet pretending to be 13 year old girls. Fucking weirdos.

From the bits I have seen on TV and read in magazines, they don't even have a particularly successful detection rate

The are copying a format first made public by NBCs "Date Line" with Chris Hanson.

The show, working with Police and specialist groups, would have actors pretend to be underage kids, who would allow the grown men to come to their residence, invite them in and then nip out of the room, to then be replace by Chris and a camera man.

Mean while a team of police would be waiting outside to arrest them.

Some ran, only to run straight into the police, others would break down on the spot as they realise the massive fuck up they have made.

The worst episode I have ever witnessed, which is truly sickening, is the paedo brings his infant son with him because he couldn't find a baby sitter.

The important difference between Date Line and the have-a-go wallys, is the support of the police and specialist experts, who know how to handle these situations.

You have to wonder whether the inaction of British authorities over the organised child sexual exploitation in Rochdale, Rotherham, Oxford, Telford, Huddersfield, Manchester, Bradford, Leeds, Milton Keynes, and many other towns and cities isn't a factor. When the various authorities don't do their job who'll do it for them?
