Wow, some kid got done for money laundering the princely sum of... £1,000 yet the likes of these people are not even in a little bit of trouble, pfffft - joke.

The problem was this was a multi agency job. HMRC, NCA and other forces. I would expect the outcome will be a big back payment in the end. Bees - no comment from any of the agencies involved, doesn't mean that its over. I'd wait for an announcement rather than accept Neil's insinuations. Naturally if Neil is alleging that anyone involved in the case has been treated illegally because of a close relationship with someone in law enforcement then he will be able to back it up with evidence and present it to the authorities or the press. With the first one here that blew up I think the guy paid £46m to HMRC to make it go away. That was about 15 years ago. It seems to be an established get out of jail card to just pay HMRC off what it thinks it’s owed. Not alleging anything. Are you saying you are in the know on this one then? eta - it does appear to be strange however that the press haven't commented on it. It's almost as if they've closed ranks... Edited October 22, 2019 by Neil Down

Why would the local press close ranks? It was an alleged vat fraud. Which appears to have been reported on by the iom press anyway.
