That’s one of the issues with government though in that if you act a big enough and awkward enough twat everyone backs down. It wouldn’t happen anywhere else. They’d still fuck you out the door and be

A market dominance and financial resource they accumulated precisely because governments don't treat them as a private company who publishes or edits content.

My criticism is that they benefit from being treated as "public commons" by the government, while at the same time they are anything but that.

They can't have it both ways. Pick one.

It’s all down to them chem trails TJ

I really do think "business continuity" procedures should be followed in the civil service to ensure a transition and avoid needing to bring back a retired person. How many years did they know he would be departing and have time to plan ahead to ensure he had a successor?

Can we get back on track. The man's a incompetent tosser who should not be allowed to play with any thing bigger than a 00 gauge hornby train set.

I see what you did there...

Let's be honest, with the lack of information from the DoI as to his true performance during his reign of terror at the DoI transport dept, ( you get my feelings on this? ), we cannot be sure if he has been a benefit or drain on resources . No final accounts, costs against returns available?

Were the DoI contractually obliged to take him back to his old role? After' that is., his sojourn as a Prom redevelopment manager? Why did they not take the oppoortunity to get rid of him? Is he that good? Is he such a bully, as intimated, that there is no one there who can stand up to him? Or was he really the bees knees?

It is only other MHKs who can ask the questions, seek the answers to what MFers think is the truth that can conclude the assessment of his reign

The treasury will already know the answer but will any other MHKs be willing to stand up to and ask questions about this character?.

Bag Man on the right looks a bit like Ian Longworth.

ETA. There is one roadworks on the Island that is starting to rival Douglas Prom for longevity. That's the 200-odd metre stretch of the Foxdale-bound main road from Ballacraine crossroads towards the Western Amenity site. Must have been closed for getting on for 5 months now.

Reopening end of February according to the latest (obviously others have been complaining).  Supposed to have been shut since October according to the website.  But that also says it's opening next week.
