So you are in favour of live and let live and tolerance only when it doesn't impact on how you live?

Sounds a reasonable idea

Correct, fireworks are a minor problem for a few days. At the back of us there is a feckin four legged beast howls and barks most days. Lets ban dogs

Or we could allow a barking day for dogs on November 5th and combine the two noises to see whose loudest? Hah :P

Combine the two?. Great idea.  A lit roman candle inserted into the rear of a dog should cause a vociferous evening.

But what about people who don't like dogs?  Why should they have to walk around in streets and open spaces where people insist on having their genetically-modified wolves wander around at all hours of the day and night?   At best a few silent dogs should be kept in the Wildlife Park where people can visit them on a few days a year.

But won't they escape after getting the low down from Kush?

Nobody even knows what common sense is nowadays. As an example, there was a group of people rescued on Ben Nevis yesterday - in snow, with no map, and 3 were wearing trainers.

Is it school that's going wrong, parents, or has there been some sort of genetic mutation that has removed all common sense genes?

The trouble with common sense is that it's not so common these days.

Well today’s nonsense from Tynpotwald as reported by the Nations Propoganda Mouthpiece-

https://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/committee-to-look-at-fireworks-regulations/

A new committee! Yippee! It’s amazing that the island is awash with problems, incidentally some social problems resulting in suicides..... sadly. Yet this mob concern themselves with an area already well legislated, certainly within the last few years. I believe Former West Douglas MHK and MLC Alex Downie introduced the last legislation which is now law.

Let’s waste more time, money and have a committee and ban fireworks, please the few, disappoint the many. Whilst we are at it, let’s abolish Tynpotwald Day, Tynpotwald Day Fireworks, Douglas Fireworks and TT Fireworks. There are far more important matters to worry about.
