It's about £1m. Ballpark. Whether or not the population is 80/85/90K.

The cost wouldn't be the issue.

(I realise that you are only arguing because I called you out for spreading rumours)

I believe it is policy that the schools remain open because the virus isn't here, not a rumour

You'd make a rubbish Treasury Minister with maths like that

Like I care you retard ,   " dilligaf"  wow - how inspiring  .

You're just a silly little keyboard warrior with an axe to grind - all bitter and twisted and nothing more worthwhile to do than troll an important discussion  with your meaningless drivel  .

Go to bed you dimwit

Which is more infectious, Corona Virus or MF bickering?

UK schools are now all set to close this week. Latest statement from IOM is " Schools to stay open 'For now' "but this was at 7-30pm, most like;ly that the  situation will change, schools  to close, when Our Govt get together in the morning!!!, presumably after stuffing their selves with Pasta???

The biggest problem for returning residents, will be, will they really self isolate? Could be that, like drink driving, ignoring this advice, should become 'anti social'?

If a work colleague returns to work before the two weeks are up, should you complain to your management?

If 2 weeks is the incubation period, then we are in a 4 week window of danger, those retuirning now under self isolation rules and those who returned in the previous 2 weeks ( who have not yet been through the 2 week incubation period)_.

One would hope that there is a personal responsibiliy feeling to do the right thing!!!

Dilligaf did very well in school and it gave him the ability to voice his opinions on various subjects. sorry to piss on your chips boy

Everyone, whether they have a qualification or not, has the ability to voice an opinion. Having an opinion that is worth taking into account is an entirely different matter.

Here we go again. No wonder MF has stagnated so much.

Potentially, probably the most serious life threatening situation since WW2 and what have we got.

Someone starts a post about precautions and MF ends up with 90% of the last three pages being made up of peurile, infantile slanging matches....by the usual posters.

What a surprise (sic)

God help us.

Which is why Johnson leads the Conservatives and Corbyn leads Labour

As with Manx Forums or indeed any social media you have to skim through and just read the 10% or whatever. When you buy a newspaper you don't read every column on every page.

Hmmm...maybe:

1. Keep schools open (force virus to reveal itself and nip in bud - evidence it does not impact kids) allowing parents to still work and kids to do exams, while 2. keeping the vulnerable isolated, while 3. doing far more random (Doctor driven) testing, while 4) limiting entry to the island and testing ALL new visitors or returners.

We could then perhaps be one of the first jurisdictions to be declared corona free.

Then tourism can start again...provided you are tested before you head on holiday here. The oldy tourists will then flock here cos its safe (even if they need a test)....and our economy here could get back to as near as normal.

6 months and all could be normal here?

Are there any?

If the question is  about CEO Health  and Social Care and the Chief  Medical Officer,  (and the Whatever of whatever, the  Director of this . etc., etc., etc.,)

Then the question  is not so much “ Are  there any?”

As the answer as everyone knows  is, “Yes”

Faced with the biggest public health crisis since the H1N1 Spanish ‘flu. in 1918/19,

the question  should be :

” Where are they?”
