We're not Spain. Far from it. We have the borders locked down and have the power to turn the situation around.

You are still thick though.
Can you not get your head around what is happening.

Do you any family in a care home ? Do you have any friends at all that may die because of stupidity ? Are you real, or a bot ?

Do you have any friends who have recently tried to top themselves because they're about to lose their family home?

Don't try and get all morally superior on this. It's a shitty situation for all of us.

There's really no point debating with you as you can't see past staying hidden away under a duvet until the knight in shining armour comes to save us all.... do you understand a vaccine may not even be possible? There's great efforts being made, but they could all prove fruitless.

The decision to ease the lockdown is clearly a very difficult one. Spain, which had begun to ease off a little has just decided to extend theirs until the 9th of May.

Lifting or easing and then strengthening is a worse situation that just leaving it in place. I hope our government is taking note.

Fake news. They've extended their state of emergency until May 9th. That doesn't mean they aren't starting to ease lockdown for certain people.

The other day you were using Spain (and others) easing their restrictions as a reason we should be getting rid of ours. You're an inconsistent flapping mess.

Showing your true colours there then. Nobody will starve. Nobody will lose their house. Nobody will end up begging. The Gov will help pay your rent, help pay for your food and keep life rolling along.

This is one for the Manx Forums archives. This will not age well. Let's revisit this in 12 months time.

'Nobody will lost their house' - are you for real?!

Yes, I was. You can use examples from other countries to model our exit strategy on (as both Alf Cannan and David Ashford have said the island will).

But our situation is far more controllable that Spain where the virus has truly run rampant and unchecked.

Can you clarify how will they be funding that? Milk bottle tops? Chocolate buttons? Luncheon vouchers? IOUs? I know many people who have been turned down already as I’ve spoken to them and they’re confused and angry as to why they are now expected to live on no income. We don’t have access to enough capital for your imaginary support to be even half effective. Do you work for government by chance?
