The internet

You've got the internet, you don't need a newspaper. REMAIN INDOORS.

I subscribe to a daily paper online. Works out cheaper.
It’s usually online about 11pm with following days issue for download.

I have no idea why IoM Newspapers have put this up as a video when a clear and simple list would be more useful but it might help

If it's too good to be true in this case it absolutely isn't....

Not many adverts on the IOM Today website. None in fact.

Must be focusing minds in Pulitzer House.

I'm still seeing a few odd ones (very odd in some cases) but the IOM Today website has never had that many anyway and few local ones.  Compared to a lot of  local and regional websites it's always been quite low and leanly-coded on ads which means that you don't end up twiddling you thumbs waiting for endless slow-loading ads to appear so you can finally read what you wanted.  Or more likely abort the whole thing before you get there.

They are probably suffering from low sales though.  There's a plaintive article just up headed Newspapers are not transmitters of Covid-19, which rather misses the point that it's the trip to the newsagent that people may be avoiding (or handling by deliverers).  More to the point they are also missing there being any news.  The current hot topics include Dog taken to vets after eating mysterious biscuits, which is actually even less alarming than its headline, and Bins will be collected tomorrow (ie the day they were supposed to be collected).  Though unlike any of the virus related topics, the later is open for comments.

The ?Courier is good for deaths...I can remember when it used to be Births, Marriages and Deaths and pictures of weddings as well.

I would agree. But accidents and injuries can be avoided - if you make sure you fold the sharp edges inwards before wiping, .

You can still die of boredom reading it though.
