IOM Covid removing restrictions

Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of it applying to the management of IOMSPCo, rather than crew if the directions weren't spelled out to them correctly. Or if the directions weren't clear and letting it run unchallenged for so long.  But of course we probably won't know the full facts as to the 'misunderstanding' anyway as a bigger carpet has been laid so all of this crap can all be brushed under.

Agreed but I would still like to see the justification used for the inevitable first covid arrest (probably at 12:14 on Wednesday morning as they literally won’t be able to help themselves) when clearly they have no intention of doing anything about SPC staff or directors/management. Jails just a threat used on us it would seem!

OK. For what it's worth I'm going to try and explain why genomics is important in a ssRNA virus epidemic. No doubt it will end up being recited badly at a briefing, but, well, whatever. You read it he

21 days from 00.01 tomorrow. "Similar" measures to last circuit break. Stay at home, essential shopping and appointments only. No household mixing.

SD measures, face coverings advised, mandatory on public transport.

Pubs and all non essential retail to close.

Kids off school too except essential worker's kids.

Construction continues (surprise surprise) under distancing measures.

WFH if possible.

This has now tipped over into the absurd.  Mr Toad and Ashworth cannot be allowed to abuse the people of this Island's social and economic fabric without an unarguably valid reason and this isn't it.

This Shangri La mentality has to stop.

No totally unreasonable and typical of you, if you want no food on shelves after a strike !! Even Howie realized that

Howie should have shown some metal and actioned emergency legislation to ban strikes.

Unions need to wake up and smell the coffee.

I think anyone who has a SP booking to go over to the UK mainland for whatever reason, the bookings should all be cancelled until this is over.

Think it’s about people coming this way, rather than to the UK....

Bollocks!! Do you also want the nursing staff to isolate after working on COVID ward or how about police if they arrest a lockdown breaker?

A brief review of the SPO fiasco may explain HQ's desire to leave well alone. Except its not well at all.

1. GOV draft a totally unreasonable protocol for the SPO staff to follow - Idiotic

2. According to HQ the order is "open to interpretation" - Negligent

3. SPO interpret it as not needing staff to isolate off duty - Naturally

4. GOV decide not to audit SPO adherence to the protocol for almost a year - Negligent

5. SPO staffing the islands main artery to the world and its front line to exposure are:

-not tested regularly to minimise the impact of potential infection - Negligent

-not included in first tranche of vaccinations - Idiotic

Nor surprised he does not want a witch hunt when he is the Head of the Coven !

Nonsense. The SPCo was fine until now.

They shouldn't be thrown under the bus for it either, there's no practicable way you can expect the crews to stay in isolation.

The lack of testing and coordination, and nothing done after concerns being flagged, falls on the Gov't.

Anyone else notice that when Ashie was on zoom this morning there was a big thick biography of Churchill behind his right ear. He's got the jowls for it and if he adds the homburg, fat cigar and victory sign, he's a dead ringer for next CM. I wonder what books Howie's got on his shelf ?

Dandy/Beano or am I being to kind?
