Willkommen in Deutschland. Achtung, halt, Papiere bitte!

Back in Bavaria right now and Germany uses the “3G” System: entry to public buildings, restaurants, and many other places only if you are

Getested - negative PCR or rapid test

Genesen - certificate that you had covid and recovered

Geimpft - vaccinated

You have to show proof of it or can’t enter. Two tier society in full effect and it’s totally nonsensical. Example:

To enter the country, I need to get the NHS proof of vaccination and fill in an electronic entry request. I dutifully got both and even printed them to have the QR code scanned at the border - except the border cop took one glance and just waved me through. Same everywhere else. Cursory glances, no codes being scanned, all feels very pointless really. Probably not a system to follow.

Talk about timing...

Can we have an announcement from our government that all restrictions are going now too. Absolutely no need for any of them at all now.

The resident CTA travel restrictions were the last announcement this side of any election. Enough to get the local voters off their back. The removal/imposition of restrictions will be at the mercy of the new administration.

Why the hell are we bothering with landing forms when the travel compliance would have been dealt with through the CTA if travelling from abroad?

Because anyone from a 'red' jurisdiction would have used the transit exemption on the grounds that isolation etc would happen in the Isle of Man.  If you're going to say that movement within the CTA should be unregulated then you have to get rid of transit exemptions.

You can't use a transit exemption from a red country into the UK. It's mandatory hotel quarantine regardless.

1.25% of deaths were fully vaccinated (and a significant number of them had already acquired the virus prior to being jabbed).

Anyone who still believes the vaccinations are not necessary are utterly selfish, cranks or both.

We are still fucking about because of these lunatics.

  • In England, between 2 January and 2 July 2021, there were 51,281 deaths involving coronavirus (COVID-19); 640 occurred in people who were fully vaccinated, which includes people who had been infected before they were vaccinated.
