Well I didn’t realise that! so is the IOM giving the option of either a full (third) or booster (half)? If the original immunity from 2 vaccines is thought to be 6-8 months, what is half dose good for? 3 months?!

Just sounds bizarre. Sounds bizarre but its probably best, meeting room walls are paper thin and it all feels rather clinical. A coffee in Costa is a normal everyday environment and with the noise of the coffee machines it would be difficult for anyone to make out your conversation anyway. Don’t they mean exactly the same thing? Yes, and no. My first two doses were AZ. I had pfizer as my third dose. The pfizer third dose and booster are the same. But if it’s wrongly recorded as booster today, rather than third primary, I won’t get my booster in 3-6 months, without struggling to get the record changed. Moderna give a half dose as a booster, but a full dose as a third primary. So, there are differences and they are significant.

Wasnt a pleasant experience and I ended the CMHS involvment with me after it in that form. I agree with you !!!

It doesn’t work like that in terms of effectiveness, either level of antibodies, or time it’s good for. IoM is giving those who are immunocompromised a third primary, full, dose; either pfizer or moderna. That will be followed by a booster in 3-6 months. Everyone else gets a booster. There’s no literature, unsurprisingly, about whether further boosters will be required. Pfizer booster and third primary dose are identical. Moderna booster is half a primary dose. James Blonde
That post by Watterson is down right dangerous and stokes the fires of panic and fear of all the Doom Coven. Cannan needs to pull him up on it and correct him. The measures announced on Sunday aren't even designed to reduce the case numbers - they're in response to the supposed threat presented to the island by the omicron/moronic variant. Why is he and other Doomers acting like there should be a reflection in the case numbers?
quilp
Ah, back to the good old days at old St. Mary's, that dark, dank and draughty edifice where, if the boiler even worked, heating was minimal and on the coldest days of winter, old Mr. Roney would stumble in with great big buckets of coal to throw on the fire roaring in the fireplace and us kids, in shorts and skirts, would shiver through the day. Outside toilets, cold tap only, but what a merry lot we were... Edited December 1, 2021 by quilp More coal

quilp
I can tell you, I kid you not, our 'back kitchen' was like that. The range and bath is authentic. 😄 Edited December 1, 2021 by quilp

Thanks for pointing this out John. The jab received on the day was the Comirnaty/Pfizer solution. Manufactured in Germany or Switzerland. A few side-effects but nothing of note. I recognise that as I'm sure lots of others on here will too.... along with the bedroom window with ice on the inside during Jan/Feb months.

To be fair, Manx gas are doing their bit to bring that back by pricing people out of heating their homes. 4
