Do you think the bereaved will take comfort from those words?

Can you guys start a separate thread titled "Jersey is ace - oh no it isn't" and leave this one to a discussion on IOM and the coronavirus?

...and I so wanted a long illustrious career at the DHSC   I run my own company so my involvement with the DHSC to set up and keep the COVID19 lab running wasn't exactly in the professional caree

I'll put a big disclaimer here that I'm not the person who decides who gets tested and when.  Saying that, I am a scientist who understands that if you test someone on the day they arrive and the

What will you say to the many unemployed on the island with a bleak future plus the 21 airport workers who lost their jobs today. Will you offer to pay their mortgages?

They’re starting to become just collateral damage now as the covid lunacy is so entrenched. There is going to be social unrest at the end of this when people realize just how fucked over they’ve been. We (the UK in particular) deserves that too.

As you said earlier, we will have to wait and see. Unemployment was down again last month to under 1000. At its top it was 1300, made up of 400 unemployable, 200 due to the pre Covid collapse of Flybe, 300 looking for work having left university, 400 other, including hotel workers, and various other tourist trade related and other affected industries, along with regular school leavers looking for apprenticeships, etc. Many of these people have found work.

Do you just make this stuff up!! 200 unemployed flybe workers is just lies,300 from university is more shite! The unemployable will be those on disability.

i would expect the figures have been somewhat massaged with some going on other allowances!

but don’t worry another 21 airport workers joined the numbers today

Well done. Although, of course,  there is nothing stopping anyone from travelling if they want to. And there hasn't been for ages.

Though goodness only knows why anyone would want to at the moment.

Why wouldn’t they want to go away? It’s not like 28 Days Later when you get to Heysham. You’re obviously watching too much terrorizing telly and not speaking to people who actually live in the UK.
