Can you guys start a separate thread titled "Jersey is ace - oh no it isn't" and leave this one to a discussion on IOM and the coronavirus?

Ratio of admissions to deaths is not that different, testing is obviously out due to the massive capacity increase like just about everywhere in the world.    The current UK situation is impact

It's a safe place right now because of the Manx people, not the Manx politicians. None of us want to be "the person who brought it back" so we isolate and make sure we don't transmit the virus by bein

Watch out troll alert from Covid Mary who wants no plans, expect your mate Cambon on soon as only one who likes your posts 😂

Your response makes no sense at all. Secondly, other than on here, I have no idea who Cambon is

eta - after a quick check, it seems you and your mate are the ones most likely to emoji my posts, no sign of Cambon though...

Jersey keeps getting infections in the community. They've just closed a primary school, and one of their firemen has tested positive, so that's his watch off watch. Not a good advert for us to follow.

Guernsey looks as though it is getting cold feet over going into their next phase. The ranks don't seem to be breaking just yet.

"The CCA previously set out a model for the next phase, ‘phase 5c’, which would have seen the introduction of testing on arrival. It would also have meant that arrivals from Group B countries would not be required to self-isolate after receiving a negative result from the test taken on arrival.

However, in recent weeks the prevalence of Covid-19 in all our neighbouring jurisdictions, and notably in the UK regions where the Bailiwick has its main travel links, has risen considerably, and it appears unlikely that this trend will be turned around in the very short term."

If you come from Jersey, Southampton and various other ports you have test day 1 & 7 and if negative you are out of isolation, simple!!

When Jersey get back to 30 in 100k then test day 1 and if negative you are out of isolation.

all starts 26 October

The link says they hope to introduce the regime On 26/10. If cases in France Uk and jersey continue to get worse, it will be shelved.

Shine on you crazy diamond!

Do they still fly here from Guernsey?

That would put the cat amongst the pigeons once their testing on arrival strategy comes into play.

Dirty infected Guernsey types coming here to golf, walk & spread disease.

Good they have a plan and listening to usual dross from Howie & Ashie it's obvious we haven't got one and as usual the tame media still haven't asked why!!
