So which of the other potential candidates would you rather see take over and why? It's easy to sound clever complaining (that's why bad standup comedians are always negative). It's much harder to say what specifically someone is in favour of. And it's seldom pithy or gets a laugh. Are you in politics yourself?

Yes, it is easy to find fault in any politician so I guess you really have to take a middlin' view of their performance. I think Howard hasn't been too bad in many respects, although my main criticism would be his inability to take criticism!

I’m in politics in the sense that I’ve negotiated having five teenage children who are all now in their 30s/40s and I’ve avoided inflicting harm on them, but in terms of existing Tynwald members, any of Cannan, Shimmins, Thomas, Ashford and Allinson would be vastly superior CMs to Quayle. A number of others would be at least as good (or bad depending on your outlook) and possibly better. Happy now? 2 3

PaulJ 357
But does he have a slight stutter, spit whilst talking and contort his mouth in the fashion of Mr Ed during a speech? If so,he's a likely candidate 1
