Is it legal? Does it conform with road marking standards?

Mind, half of what the DOI encumber us with probably don't anyway so it's a moot point....

They appear to have quietly shortened  the cycle lane/left turn lane it seems.  It now finishes 6-8 cars back from the lights instead of 4.

The wiggly arrow is still there though, which sort of gives the change away.

Can't be true. All changes were reviewed by experienced highway designers and traffic engineers, as the Minister said.

There's an election in the offing. No ELECTED politician in their right mind (even ours) wants to be associated with the DOI and its fiascos. It's political suicide.

Harmer's gone, he hopes in time. Baker's taken over for the last yards, doubtless the thinking is that the blame departed with Harmer. Maska's not publicly elected, nothing to lose. Moorhouse jumps. The cynicism is all too obvious.
