TheTeapot
I see the DoI have just started making shit up now then.
slinkydevil
Saw this on facebook. Lol, the DOI are out of control "painted on the road between the Hope and Ballacraine."

english zloty
Can't wait for the discussion which ensues when a cyclist who didn't quite slow down is lying in the road arguing with a wagon over the informality of the crossing.
Non-Believer
Is it legal? Does it conform with road marking standards? Mind, half of what the DOI encumber us with probably don't anyway so it's a moot point.... 1
x-in-man
They appear to have quietly shortened the cycle lane/left turn lane it seems. It now finishes 6-8 cars back from the lights instead of 4. The wiggly arrow is still there though, which sort of gives the change away.

All changes were reviewed by experienced highway designers and traffic engineers, as the Minister said.

Roger Mexico
Meanwhile even Jason Moorhouse has realised it's time to jump ship. (I'm beginning to wonder if Moorhouse is some sort of art project. Surely no human being can be quite so gormless).
Non-Believer
There's an election in the offing. No ELECTED politician in their right mind (even ours) wants to be associated with the DOI and its fiascos. It's political suicide. Harmer's gone, he hopes in time. Baker's taken over for the last yards, doubtless the thinking is that the blame departed with Harmer. Maska's not publicly elected, nothing to lose. Moorhouse jumps. The cynicism is all too obvious. This is how all road markings will look from now until they can persuade the dyslexic road painter to take early retirement in 2042. It's just less hassle this way
