Then there was the time that they blocked a road in Maughold to all but the narrowest vehicles by erecting a road sign several feet from the wall. Ironically, I seem to recall it was a "road narrows" sign.

Or when they put up a pelicon crossing on the main road in Onchan, but situated it slap bang in the middle of the pavement so that you couldn't walk past it with a pram. They dug it up again shortly afterwards.

Perhaps you are referring to my preference for the original spelling?

Well, it's not a bird, is it? It's a PEdestrian LIght CONtrolled crossing. Usage has turned it into a bird, so I turn it back.

It looks like a deliberate attempt to discredit Baker before he’s even started between this and Glencrutchery Road. It’s like they really don't give a toss how shit they look as long as it looks terrible for the Minister concerned. I mean unless English isn’t their first language or they’re completely mentally retarded that simply shouldn’t have been capable of happening unless it’s deliberate.

Is it that hard to discredit him ? He is doing a great job of that himself.

If I was him I think I would fly out of here then say I could not get on the list to come back. Useless idiot.Makes a mockery of our island.
