PS.  MTel tend to deny a problem until they have fixed it  !!!

I earn so little and know in my head how much is in there to a fiver that I've no need for Internet banking.

They might start downloading hard-core illegal porno, though!

MT isn't responsible for the quality of your wifi.

If you want to increase your speed, switch your fridge off!!!

What does Huawei know about you that Google doesn't already know?

I've lined  my car with lead to stop Wessex whining that I didn't fill up with them!!!!!!!!

Mine has been shocking for weeks sick of contacting them and getting no help.

my neighbour believes it’s a way to get us all in the new fibre cables

I've always suspected deliberate throttling to persuade you to 'upgrade' to a more expensive tariff.

There's a couple o weeks delay in getting re-connected to M-Tel broadband!

That doesn't sound like a company that is 'shaping' use to give them a advantage???

H-mm, at 12 and 13? Maybe some kids of that age might be into that but the thing is, I know these particular kids and their parents very well, the kids since they were infants. Lived next door to them for over 10 years so I intuitively trust them. Couldn't wish for better neighbours...

Onchan area recently suffering lots of drops/outages. Replace your router was their only suggestion or take a chance on a call out that may or may not find a fault and may or may not incur a rather expensive call out fee. This after confirming 5 line drops in 3 hours. I said no thanks to the call out.

Changed nothing at all re my connection and have had no drops since?

BUT.... it's not their fault.....ever!!

Fairly sure that they've got that on a script.

Also fairly sure that there is a lack of capacity every evening lately. But as they don't make any promises re speed or capacity we cannot say that they are not delivering :)

Imagine your employer started off by promising up to £70k. Then paid you £20k. You couldn't say they hadn't delivered. And then you noticed that had stopped talking about numbers at all.

Haha that was a stupid game. Liverpool battered Arsenal all night, and lost. Still, I can report my home broadband managed to stream the whole game, mostly in HD without stopping. So that's something.

Monopoly...duopoly, makes little difference when neither business 'really' competes. Especially when one owns all the infrastructure and VFM is simply not remotely part of the business plans.

Both not even local business'.

The primary one has changed hands so often it's getting hard to tell who now 'Manx' Telecom really is. Hopefully not one that simply asset strips and then beats a hasty retreat!!

We shall see.
