Not that much changes in a few months.  Obviously you won't have every comma in place, but If you're standing you should have some sort of idea about what your policies and beliefs are, what the themes of your campaign will be and what you see the future of the Island being.  Otherwise why are you standing other than £60-70K a year?

Perhaps it was on a whim

Ok as you clearly are actually a knob, let me answer in terms that your clearly inhibited intellect can process. Some illustrations of the kind of people who should stand for the Keys are: 1

His idiotic support for ending the free movement of people in europe will have cost him. And deservedly so. Fucking brexiteers can all fuck off.

Is it a bit of low level sexism?

Hard to judge so far based on the other prospective nominee

It doesn't matter if they are specific and costed. The vast majority still aren't worth the paper they're written on. It's a vote for personality and largely empty doorstep promises. Policy for the new term will be decided by the Chief Minister and no doubt influenced by the Chief Secretary who will include what they see fit.

Most elected Members will then be offered Departmental responsibilities with attendant uplifts under pain of dismissal if they don't concur with the Govt line for the electoral term. Dissent will not be tolerated.

The policy choices will be made by the CM, presumably in consultation with his cabinet

Whether the new Minister of Policy & Reform is generating corridors of policy computer printout is as yet unkown

It's reasonable to look at connections between political newcomers and established figures. It's a small island and we have to be careful about nepotism. (Not that a connection should automatically rule people out).

However, these were false claims against youngish women, made anonymously (on IOMToday and by a new poster here). Looks iffy.

Having now watched all his videos both before and after Tynwald Day, he is definitely not anyone I could ever vote for.

More fruitcakes in those videos than in Mr Kipling’s bakery.
