So we can now chose to pay our vehicle licence in two parts, half now, half in six months time this may help people who are struggling but why not monthly when it would really amount to helping people.   It would cost too much they say to organise but they manage to collect direct debits for rates and electricity monthly.   It would be nice if everyone got a little bit of help at this time.

Because then you could decide to only pay for it for a few months rather than being locked into 12 months...

It's a cash generating scheme.

If they're going to let you pay 6 months then it'll be because they're going to put it up AGAIN and theyve finally accepted that some people just cant afford to hand over £300 at once.

For shits and giggles i imagine a great big overlappy venn diagram between those who want to pay monthly and hating cyclists/wanting cyclists to pay 'road tax' whatever the fuck that is.

Post office don't accept CC Payments I've tried in the past.

Oh, didn’t know that. Is that because they are so easily reversed once you have the tax disc ? FFS

A few arseholes ruin everything for decent law abiding folk.

Don't  know, I had a few vehicles requiring taxing at the same time and the computer said no.

You can online, they won’t let you at the post office counter though which seems a bit ridiculous
