It thought the same at first, before a later post mentioned the Capri

I’m going to need a good think about that. Did you buy the bob tail rangie off John Q?

proper Landies didn't have a v6 as standard.it was a retro fit. I always prefered a Perkins 4203. Massive torque.

Steve Parker did kits. When I bought mine to tow a dive boat it was already converted. It was some time after that I joined the 4x4 club

Nah, I wrecked a two door! I'm talking about 25 years ago or thereabouts. It's hard to re-call the names and vehicles.

1.6, 2.8 and the original 3litre I think.

Germany got a 2.0 V6 too. I had a mate who had one.

And a 2.6 V6 even a 1.3 V4 amongst a myriad of others.

i thought was a 2 litre as well, i'm thinking it was a V4, when you opened the bonnet it looked like someone had stole the engine with all the space available

Later UK 2.0L and 1.6 got the 4 cyl OHC Pinto engine. The 1.3 was the OHV Kent motor.

The old V4s were the same engine as the Mk1 Transit, the "Taunus" V4. Think they might have been in the Corsair too?

Yes, deffo in the Corsair. I had a dark blue one with a straight engine and a metallic blue one with a V4. The V4 was pretty fast for the time. I really liked the Corsair. I had every mark of Zodiac too and loved the great barge MK4 with a 3litre V6 in. Like an American Limo.
