Amadeus
Saw this on twitter. So which ones warrant closer inspection then?
thesultanofsheight
Kemp, what a bell end. Probably none on that basis.

Josem
I'm not familiar with the details of any transactions listed in Mark Kemp's tweet, but if someone was concerned about impropriety here, these seem like very easy FOI requests to submit: Just request a copy of the invoices/receipts/purchase orders/contracts involved here.
Max Power
Some of those at least are payments to organisations which the person is a director or trustee of because of their position as an MHK or other.
Uhtred
It appears that Mr Kemp can’t read; or at least can’t assimilate the information he’s reading.
Gladys
An accountant, teacher and nearly a MHK!
Declan
I'm surprised that it's only a page and half per year. There's a lot of them there especially those associated with MHKs that we'd have to pay irrespective of the association. Ramsey would still need a GP practice, Laxey would still need a Chemist, the playschool credits to Mooinjer Veeggey would go to another nursery. Others are charities - Motiv8, Small Countries etc, Mooinjer Veeggey, Manx Wildlife Trust, Manx Lottery Trust, Southern Befrienders, IOM Meats, where the MHK is there ex-officio or as part of their community involvement. Not sure about Small Countries... I'm not sure that £3k paid to Age Concern automatically becomes suspicious because it's CEO is a relative of the Director of Manx National Heritage. That rather eliminates the larger payments apart from the Capital group. Presumably the building firm run by Edge's partner had to tender. So which are the "incredible and alarming" payments, Kemp's concerned about. Beefcroft's? Skelly's?
thebees
OMG a doctor has been paid because he is a doctor - WTF?
John Wright
I like the one for John Quinn (the AG ). He’s listed because clients, for whom his son’s firm acted, won cases against government and the courts awarded costs against the losing party. Mr Kemp needs a reality check.
VinnieK
What does he mean by 'look closely at the attached and try to connect some dots'? He makes it sound like he's discovered some big, intricate conspiracy, but the information is all right there out in the open and hardly suspicious, unless of course he's suggesting the existence of some nefarious scheme between, say, Mooinjer Veggey, Laxey pharmacy, and Brunswick Gardens. His website has a big counter counting down to the next election, so we've probably got a lot more of this to come. Declan
Christ I might need to vote for Watterson to keep Kemp out.

Yes, and the Brunswick Gardens one is an example of how stupid his conspiracy theories are. If you live in a house fronting on Brunswick Gardens you get shares in Brunswick Gardens Limited. The idea is to protect the gardens from development. Some owners are directors of the company. To save on maintenance costs for the gardens a part is rented out as a nursery and market garden for therapeutic and training work for young residents in care with disabilities, and, in particular, special needs.
